The Basic Plus Secondary Card is popular because an employer can structure benefits with copays, deductibles, and coinsurance — essentially compelling their employees to put skin in the game. This card must be given to your health care provider along with your Carrier Card. Your health care provider bills the insurance carrier first and once the EOB is received, then sends it to RHS for payment of deductibles, copays or any other employee responsibility that the employer would pay.
The RHS Debit Card is an efficient way to get the employer benefits with only a swipe of the card. No paperwork on behalf of the employee. This card is a smart card that will only allow certain services to be covered.
